Sentosa is a popular resort island in Singapore, visited by five million people a year. On the island you can find 2 km long sheltered beach, golf courses, resort hotels and the theme park Universal Studios Singapore. Its like Disney world…
The island was renamed “Sentosa” in 1972, which means peace and tranquillity in Malay from Pulau Belakang Mati, which in Malay means the “Island (pulau) of Death (mati) from Behind (belakang)”.
